Pigeon-Island is an eco-friendly and sustainable swimwear label with a focus on plastic-to-fabric garments. Each pair of the signature Pigeon Island shorts is made out of 7 PET bottles. The brand originates from the vibrant island of Sri Lanka and champions the conservation and preservation of marine life around Pigeon Island National Park, located on the East Coast of Sri Lanka. A portion of the proceeds from our garments help us conserve this ecosystem. Pigeon Island also partners with Blue Resources Trust, a non-profit organization which seeks to increase awareness and education around marine conservation.
Pigeon Island’s design principles are based on the tropical vibrations of nature with silhouettes and color palettes which evoke our beautiful island. Our prints have a deeper story to engage the wearer in a conversation about preserving and protecting our environment.
